Joseph M. Fusz

Joseph M. Fusz joined the Law Offices of David R. Del Re, P.C. in March 2016. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2006, and concentrates his legal practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. Prior to joining the Law Offices of David R. Del Re, Joe was an Assistant State Attorney at the Lake County States Attorneys Office in Waukegan, IL. He was also an attorney at civil litigation firms in Waukegan and Chicago, IL, where he concentrated on personal injury, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, and workers compensation cases.
Joe is a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for Family Law cases, Orders of Protection and Probate matters. Additionally, he is a part-time instructor in the Paralegal Studies Department of the College of Lake County, an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program. He has taught introductory classes as well as civil litigation, and has served as a guest speaker for forensics and business law courses.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and the Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. Furthermore, Joe served as a commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Captain. Active in the community, Joe is a board member of the Lake County Bar Association and the Jefferson Inn Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and a member of the American Legion.
